When Broken Social Scene won a Juno for their sophomore release You Forgot It In People, bassist and band co-founder Brendan Canning gave his award to his parents. It currently rests atop an old bureau in their home. "The mantelpiece is in the family room, those are for the soccer trophies. It's made it to the upper level," remarked Canning without a hint of irony.
