When the Philip Glass Ensemble appears in Pittsburgh this week, the inimitable American composer will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of his best-known works, the film Koyaanisqatsi, and approaching the 30th anniversary of the Ensemble he formed to perform his own works. The Ensemble will perform the score to the Godfrey Reggio film, as well as other shorter films that Glass has scored, as live accompaniment to the films' screenings.
