The primary source of Boise's incoming refugee population is soon to shift--from Afghanistan to Eastern Africa. Over the last three years, a few hundred Afghan families have resettled in Boise. Prior to the wave of Afghans, Boise received mostly Bosnians, who now number in the thousands.
