Diabetes, blood glucose and preoperative evaluation

The paper by Power and Thackray' is further proof of the value in evidence-based anaesthesia applied to preoperative evaluation. We believe another test can be removed from the preoperative assessment process-measurement of blood glucose in patients with diagnosed diabetes. This test has been advocated by Power and Thackray', and Roizen' before them.
