The words 'Open Access' are cropping up everywhere. This is a positive sign that the concept is catching on. It is clear, however, that the term 'Open Access' is now being used to describe an increasingly large range of website content. I even saw it used recently to refer to free access to a journal's author submission and subscription-price information. This is in line with a recent prediction from technology journalist Richard Poynder that "the term 'Open Access' is about to go through a very difficult period in which it will be used to mean all things to all men."
