African Americans need organ transplants

The Coalition On Donation (COD), a not-for profit alliance of national organizations and local coalitions, recently launched Donate Life - a public education campaign that encourages African Americans to help save or improve the lives of millions of Americans by becoming an organ and tissue donor. The campaign was created in response to the growing number of African Americans waiting for organ transplants, a rate that skyrocketed 225 percent over the past decade.
