Métis pavilion a success at Edmonton's Heritage Days

EDMONTON -- Despite constant rain and low attendance at this year's Heritage Days, the organizers of the Métis pavilion consider this year a success. This is actually the third year that the Métis Nation of Alberta (MNA) has operated a Métis pavilion at Edmonton's Heritage Festival. In 1978 and 1979, the Métis had their own pavilion separate from the Canadian Indian pavilion.

"One of the reasons we felt it was a success [was] because of all the compliments we got," said Lyle Donald, acting president of the MNA.
