Gee leads effort to end binge drinking.

COLUMBUS --"I'm trying to reassert a culture where you have Kool-Aid and books," said OSU president Gordon Gee. Out of Ohio's 71 public and private colleges, 49 have joined in an effort to end the drinking culture on college campuses.

Gee called binge drinking (consuming 4 or more drinks in a row) the biggest threat to college students and said that many incidents of student unruliness can be linked to binge drinking; violent assaults including rape and destruction of property among others. Gee said that ...
