Hildy Radmin never gave much thought to visiting Israel.

"I thought of Long Island as my homeland, the place to be concerned about," said Radmin, who works for a cosmetics firm.

Until, that is, she met her husband, Morris, a CPA, who had been to Israel twice. Three years later, the Radmins, in their 50s, are on an El Al jet to Israel with UJA-Federation's Jerusalem 3000 mission - a mission some 300-strong even after losing almost half its numbers ...
