Coming Full Circle: YIVO head to return to Berlin as deputy director of city's new Jewish Museum.

Berlin -- Tom Freudenheim, whose family fled Nazi-Germany, is returning to the nation of his forefathers. Freudenheim, currently director of the Institute for Jewish Research (YIVO) in New York City, has been named deputy director of the new Jewish Museum in Berlin by museum director W. Michael Blumenthal, whose family also left Germany during the Hitler years.

The museum is scheduled to open in the year 2000, in a new building designed by architect Daniel ...
