Affirmative action--contrary to the belief of many--was given birth by a Republican president, Richard M. Nixon. And contracts and employment are not the only forms of affirmative action.

On March 2, the Allegheny County Democratic Party held an endorsement meeting and the following are some who have been the recipients of "affirmative action."
