Race matters at new center: Davis heads Pitt's Center on Race and Social Problems

The University of Pittsburgh is considered to be among the top institutions of higher education in many categories. It's now striving to become a leader in addressing race and social problems.

In announcing the new Center on Race and Social Problems, Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg said Pitt will help enhance the understanding of race on local, state and national levels.
