Back in London, leaving Wagner at the Lowry now with a more placid Rhine, to be reviewed in our January issue, there was the radiant Bartoli on the stage of the Royal Opera House, in front of their Orchestra, this time offering another packed house Haydn, Mozart and Rossini, conducted by Antonio Pappano. Again it was Bartoli's infectious delight in sharing her love for the music with both her fellow musicians and the receptive audience which turned the event into a wonderful evening of sheer music making.
