The political drivers of spectrum value

The present thrust for 3G spectrum results from expectations of high value being promulgated primarily by the political and financial interests of governments and regulators. In reality, spectrum is in oversupply and its intrinsic value is collapsing. This clearly raises serious issues for network operators preparing to bid for 3G spectrum.
