GEM Committee holds a successful raffle in Cincinnati

During this year's SME Annual Meeting in Cincinnati, members of the national Government, Education and Mining (GEM) Committee were busy selling raffle tickets. Their goal was to raise money for the three National Science Teachers Association's (NSTA) regional conventions at which SME underwrites the space for the minerals education exhibit. In past years, GEM received funding from AIME and the SME Foundation. However, this year GEM will get no funding from either source due to market conditions.
