Survey to rate central government as a construction industry client

Designers, builders and engineers are among suppliers who will be questioned about the performance of their public-sector customers, writes Elizabeth Bellamy

Construction buyers in central government have welcomed as long overdue a survey that, for the first time, will rate their performance from a supplier's point of view.

The response comes after the Government Construction Clients' Panel (GCCP) began a survey of 200 publicsector construction suppliers earlier this month. The suppliers include designers, builders and engineers involved in new works, maintenance and refurbishment.
