New York - Superficial dermatophyte infections, from head to foot, are becoming increasingly common in the United States, but dermatologists are now better armed than ever to treat the fungal disorders and prevent recurrence, C. Ralph Daniel, M.D., said at Academy '99.
Correct diagnosis must precede effective treatment, and in this regard there have been important changes to note for both the recognition of fungal scalp and body infections.
