Lake Buena Vista, Fla. - A long-- pulse (10-ms) erbium:YAG laser fairly closely mimics the effects of the carbon dioxide laser in treating mild to moderate facial rhytids, Robert M. Adrian, M.D., said at the annual meeting of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Adrian and colleagues treated periocular and periorbital wrinkles in 12 patients with a CO2 laser (UltraPulse; Coherent Medical) on one side of the face and a long-pulse Er:YAG (C03; Cynosure Medical) on the other side.
