Lucas Body Systems to add jobs at area plants

The Automotive Division of LucasVarity PLC plans to close a Lucas Body Systems plant in Fenton, Mich.; that employs about 460 people, and move its production to Lucas Body Systems plants in Ettrick, Wis., and Winona and Rushford, Minn.

The shift will mean more jobs at those three plants, division spokeswoman Juli Ballesteros said Thursday. "But I can't say at this time how many jobs it will create," she said.
