TUPELO -- At the dedication of the new $12-million Advanced Education Center here two weeks ago, Todd Herrick, president and CEO of Tecumseh Products Company stood before a group of local and state business leaders, educators and politicians and delivered this message: Manufacturing is No. 1. Nothing else can create wealth or have as much impact on a community as a strong manufacturing operation. Treat them right and they will do right by you.
