Catfish selling for less despite higher feed costs

Mississippi catfish farmers have a hot commodity swimming in their ponds, but, sadly, the price it currently commands is only lukewarm.
Despite the fact that record volumes of catfish are being sold every week, the price that farmers receive per pound has dropped considerably in the Last six months. The last USDA catfish processing report shows farmers are receiving 73 cents a pound for their catfish, compared to 78 cents to 80 cents a pound last year.
