Despite their high-tech satellite images, radar and computer projections, radio and TV forecasters are cautious about predicting the weather even a week ahead.

But William O'Toole, the weather prognosticator for the Hagerstown Town and Country Almanack published by The Gruber Almanack Co., has already forecast the weather for this entire year, and he did it over seven months ago! Impressed by his '95-'96 accuracy when O'Toole correctly predicted 21 of 29 winter storms within one day, more people than ever are relying on the almanac.
