Car washes here try to clean up

A stream of new car washes, some highly automated, has opened here to compete to clean Spokane's filmy four-wheel drives and scuzzy sedans.
Go Spot Go Car Washes, of Spokane, opened four outlets in 1995 and 1996, a Boise company named NuLook Car Wash opened up at Division and Desmet in October, and a Car Care Express car wash-quick lube opened on Third Avenue near downtown last month.
