State's growers will pay price for misuse of common ag pesticide, Spell says

If someone pours gasoline on homes and burns them to the ground, would that be reason enough to ban use of gasoline for everyone?

Certainly not, but the illustration is similar to what the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed with the pesticide Methyl Parathion, says Robert McCarty, director of the state's Bureau of Plant Industry.
