Icon Health calls off plans for $200 million stock offering

Icon Health & Fitness Inc. one of the world's largest maker of fitness equipment, has called off its plans to go public through $200 million stock offering.

The company's stock had been scheduled to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange week before last.

But Icon general counsel Brad Bearnson said market conditions weren't right for the offering.

"All things considered for the company, we didn't think thing were falling into place as they should," Bearnson said. Outside factors caused the company to pull the offering, he said.
