While leading an attack from the turret of his 3rd Infantry Division Abrams tank during Operation Iraqi Freedom (GIF), Capt. Stuart James experienced an Objective Force moment. His actions that night east of Karbala reflected the circumstances and behavior envisioned for the transforming Army. Capt. James operated as an Objective Force leader by using the blue force tracking (BFT) device installed in his tank to gain situational awareness and give decisive guidance to a versatile unit.
