Merck's Flexeril angling for switch to OTC status

Merck & Co.'s Flexeril 5 mg (cyclobenzaprine) is the latest prescription drug to be considered for over-the-counter status. The Food & Drug Administration's Nonprescription Drugs Advisory Committee and its Arthritis Advisory Committee will be holding a joint meeting on July 20 in Gaithersburg, Md., to discuss the possible switch.
