Dr George Davidson, distinguished anaesthetist and friend, mentor and teacher to hundreds of anaesthetists, died peacefully on February 10, 1999 after a short illness, aged 73.

Those who knew George find it hard to imagine the Prince of Wales Department without him. We will sorely miss the regular visits to the anaesthesia offices in the final months of his illness when a detour from the radiotherapy sessions became a de rigeur part of his day.
