Researchers at Ohio State University have documented a phenomenon that some of us have experienced in our own lives. They found that wounds take longer to heal when we're also feeling psychological stress.
In the Ohio State study, II dental students agreed to receive a minor oral injury, similar to a pizza burn, once during summer vacation and again three days before midterm examinations.
