Both Smith and Murray begin their responses by referring to my "review of Woolfolk," but Murray is especially disappointed "because, unlike any book review [he has] ever before encountered ... [I] managed to review the book without making any substantive comments whatsoever!" I understand his disappointment, but my critique of the Woolfolk text was never meant to be a conventional book review and, hence, I felt no obligation to "deal with substantive strengths and weaknesses of the text." ...
