SYRACUSE - Consolidation is calling. Finger Lakes Business Services, Inc. has acquired the assets of Communications Group, a Syracuse-based answering service, from owner Jack Meetze. Finger Lakes paid "in the low six figures" for the business, according to Gardner H. McLean, president of Finger Lakes Business Services. The Auburn-based company operates answering and related services under the names Finger Lakes Answering Service, Finger Lakes Call Center, Finger Lakes Paging Center, and Finger Lakes Message Center.

Communications Group operates under the brand name Eastwood Answering Service. ...
