Economics and marketing of milk production in central part of Madhya Pradesh

An attempt has been made to study the economics and marketing of milk production. based on data collected from 60 milk producing farmers selected randomly from three villages of Sihora tehsil in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The data pertained to the year 1996-97. Two main channels were identified in the study area, viz., (1) milk producer-consumer and (2) milk producer-village trader/halwai-consumer.
