General Olusegun Obasanjo has triumphed in the presidential elections and is all set to take over as president on 29 May, but he faces an immense task. Resentment still festers in parts of the army and among defeated political opponents. The economy is in chaos. The troops in Sierra Leone want to go home. Nigeria needs to come out of the dark ages. Obasanjo has to build a new nation. Alan Rake reports.
