Strategies offer hope for management of haze, scars

NEW ORLEANS-With the availability of diverse treatments, haze and scar are not as significant a problem with PRK up to -12 D, said W. Bruce Jackson, MD, FRCSC, at the refractive surgery subspecialty day of the American Academy of Ophthalmology annual meeting here in November. Dr. Jackson reviewed the current understanding of haze, scarring, and undercorrection with PRK, methods of prevention, and strategies for their treatment.
