Clinic violence: Responding to Butyric Acid attacks
|
DURING the first half of 1998, a series of 19 butyric acid attacks targeted abortion clinics in the southern United States. This paper examines these attacks within the broader context of abortion violence. It provides information about butyric acid, describes historical patterns of attack, and suggests response options for law enforcement agencies. Pertinent California and federal law is also discussed.
