New leadership for the world meteorological organization

I had the privilege of representing the AMS as an advisor on the U.S. delegation to the Fourteenth Congress of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in Geneva, Switzerland, last May. The AMS was present at the request of Jack Kelly, director of the NWS and permanent representative of the United States to the WMO, as well as head of the U.S. delegation, which was composed of government officials and private sector representatives.
