A business opportunity for rural America
Wind energy development in rural America expanded at record rates during the first two years of the twenty-first century and is catching the eye of many business leaders. In 2002, wind electric generating capacity expanded by 10 percent with 410 megawatts of new equipment going into service. This new generating capacity was enough to meet the electrical needs of approximately 120,000 average American homes.
