ABSTRACT. Background: Some children receiving total parenteral nutrition (TPN) have abnormal glucose tolerance. Methods: Insulin secretion and sensitivity were studied in 12 patients, aged 5.7 to 19.4 years, receiving cyclic nocturnal TPN.
