Students were not bringing to class the expected level of base knowledge and preparation.

The move to an Intermediate Accounting course from Accounting Principles is a difficult transition for many students. Students who select accounting as their major know that the grade obtained in Intermediate Accounting is one that potential employers will examine closely.
