Kjell Magne Bondevik: First year as Norway's prime minister

One day this summer, Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik cheered patriotically for the success of Norway's national soccer team as it competed for the World Cup in a French stadium. The next day, dressed in his minister's cassock, he officiated at his daughter's wedding in an Oslo church.

Kjell Magne Bondevik, 51, is an impassioned soccer fan. He is also an ordained priest of the Norwegian Lutheran Church. But most of all he is a political player, a dedicated and highly experienced Member of Parliament for the last 24 years.
