Natchez named one of country's most distinctive destinations

NATCHEZ - The recent designation of Natchez as one of the top 12 most distinctive destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP) "will show the rest of the country what we already know in Mississippi, that Natchez is a very special place," says Mimi Miller, director of preservation and education for Historic Natchez Foundation.

"I hope it will be a big boost to our heritage tourism economy," Miller said. "I can't think of anyone better to give us this than the Heritage Trust because it is like the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. People who are interested in historical ...
