Abstract:

Arabia-Eurasia convergence is achieved in the NW Zagros by a combination of shortening on NW-SE-trending folds and thrusts, mainly in the Simple Folded Zone, and by right-lateral strike-slip on the NW-SE-trending Main Recent Fault.
