The finals of the 1998 Kathleen Ferrier Award were held at the Wigmore Hall on 24 April. There was much fine singing to be heard - and excellent accompanying too. The overall standard this year has proved exceptionally high, and the Winner of the First Prize in the Kathleen Ferrier Competition was so outstandingly excellent that audience and Jury clearly held precisely unanimous views.
