Peanut allergy may be linked to peanut oil skin preparations and soy milk consumption

Peanut allergy in children may arise from sensitisation to low doses of peanut protein through the application of peanut oil to inflamed skin and possibly also consumption of soy milk or soy formula, British researchers have concluded. No association was found between peanut allergy in children and maternal consumption of peanuts during pregnancy.
