William J. Harnett 1922-1995

William J. (Bill) Harnett was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on 16 August 1922. He served as an aerologist and forecaster in the U.S. Navy and was assigned for a brief period at Guam in the Pacific area. He received his B.S. from Saint Louis University and an M.S. equivalent less thesis as an ensign in the navy. He achieved the rank of lieutenant junior grade before discharge.
