Johnson Matthey teams with software developer

Johnson Matthey Electronics, which has extensive operations here, and Flomerics Inc., which is based in Marlborough, Mass., have entered into a joint marketing agreement that could add sales for Johnson Matthey's plant in Cheney.

Under the agreement, the two companies will provide design software, validation testing, and manufactured components to help electronics manufacturers counter heat generated by the devices they produce.

At its Cheney plant, Johnson Matthey makes heat plates, which collect heat generated in microprocessors, and heat sinks, which dissipate that heat.
