Claude Bessy, former star of the Paris Opera Ballet, now inspires dance students.

One of the great etoiles of the Paris Opera Ballet, Claude Bessy was already on the fast track at age 15 when she caught the attention of George Balanchine, who was in Paris to stage Serenade in 1947. By 19, she had achieved the rank of premiere danseuse and was creating roles choreographed by Serge Lifar and John Cranko. Bessy also danced with Gene Kelly in the 1956 film Invitation to the Dance and appeared on television and in magazines.
