Investing in a new CAM system helped an independent programmer increase productivity by a factor of six and ensure that nearly all of his programs work the first time.

Michael Usher decided to start an independent CNC programming business after witnessing the shortage of programmers able to write code for machining complex aerospace components. Usher felt that a knowledge-based CAM system with hybrid surface and solid modeling capability would give him an edge.
