A community partnership is working to open a new facility for Youth Technology and Education (YTEC) by the end of the year. The 12,300-square-foot center at 4471 Olive Blvd. will include a computer lab, a reading and homework area and a multipurpose room for other activities.

YTEC offers computer skills training for disadvantaged children, as well as life skills and interview skills for youths. Minister William Kent Sr. and his son, William Kent Jr., will manage the technology education program. ...
