The concept introduced by Thimister et al. (1) in their investigation of acute myocardial infarction, reported in this issue of The Journal of Nuclear Medicine, is the difference in the mechanism of localization of the radiopharmaceutical annexin A5, compared with that of antimyosin or pyrophosphate (2,3).
